Pastor's Corner

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.  It is certainly a wonderful pleasure to realize that all blessings come from the Lord and not from man.  Our focus must be on God, even as He works through man, including us to affect and effect His cause.  We are simply His messengers, His ambassadors.  He is the message, the Word that people need to hear.  Our prayer is that God will use specifically Freedom Ministries Church and those that are so impacted by this ministry to effect the world with the message of Jesus Christ.  I realize that we are not in this battle by ourselves, but I also realize that we can only effect those to whom God has put in our care.  We pray for the shepherds that God has established throughout the world would be careful and compassionate to carry the gospel even as God has given it to them so that when Jesus returns He will find faith in the earth.  Thank God for Missionaries Pastor Phil and Sally Tappert as they work in University Ministry and Church Planting in France.  It is a tremendous effort to provide a home setting for those who chose to come for fellowship meals, times of worship and prayer, Bible studies, Christian films, special speakers, Sunday worship services, counseling, weekend retreats, and just being there to meet the needs of university students. Thank God for the Girley family taking time to take part in their Family reunion in Pinebluff, AK and to extend their vacation to visit sites for Black History settings.  The Filmores and Girleys will also attend the Neal(Neil) Reunion to be held in Apopka, FL in early August.  More importantly, I believe that God has given us an insight through Pastor Jerry Girley for our second Revival to be held at Freedom Ministries Church where it will be for all who absolutely want to be a part of what He is about to do with His church.  Members and non-members alike.  Our trust is that God wants us to get ourselves right with Him before we can expect the people that He is sending us to disciple will have a prayer for getting it right with Jesus.  Beginning on Monday, August the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th, our theme will be Spiritual Renewal, on Wednesday, the 25th, our theme will be Physical Renewal, with Emotional and Mental Renewal on Thursday the 26th , with Relational Renewal on Friday the 27th, Financial Renewal on Saturday, the 28th,  finishing on Sunday the 29th at noon service with Spiritual Renewal.  During the week our services will begin promptly at 7pm with the order of services consisting of Silent Reverence and Prayer, Hymns or Praise relative to the theme, reading of the relevant scriptures on particular subject, exhortation on the subject matter and presentation of those who are willing and ready to be renewed in this particular area.  We want you to prayerfully consider if you feel that God wants you to be a part of these renewals.  If you are there and don’t want to be there you will become a drag or hindrance to the move of God in that serviceWe want you there but only if you want to be there.  Please pray that all that God wants to be there will be in attendance.  Even if you don’t believe that God will have you to be apart of these services, please pray for the ones that will be there.  Let us get ourselves right so that others will want to come to Jesus.
